From Kuwait to Manhattan

EPISODE 2: THE STREET (BORDER CROSSING)
Bernard Tschumi, The Manhattan Transcripts [1976-81]

'Border Crossing . . . Derelict
piers and luxury hotels,
junkies and detectives, cheap
whorehouses and gleaming
skyscrapers had all been part
of his world. So when he got
out of jail, he thought he
could pass safely from one
to the next . . . but then he
met her. To him, she was
an enigma_bold, shy, wanton,
and childlike in turn. From
the moment he saw her he
was a man possessed_possessed
by a woman who was beautiful
to look at, but lethal to
love . . . . THE STREET.'

Someday,

hehe..

I wanted to relate the saturation of manhattan transcript revealed in the poem to the stretched out moment between the man and a woman...

the collision makes an interesting perspective :D

I took that last summer
