We live in an age when unnecessary things are our only necessities._ Oscar Wilde
and notice that he said "we" coz if he refered it to oneself it wouldn't matter, and lots of stuff will be unnecessary..
hey.. this quote reminds me of Virginia Woolf (not that i forget her for a second) .. the freedom n the access men have allow them something real and out there in public (autobiography).. still women not having much freedom or access, n still stuck in stereotypes, they somehow lack that right men have.. so they have fiction to play with n shine through, which i think is more dangerous.. :)
i loooooooooooove ur painting! mashallah u r very talented! keep it coming dear! :)
i agree that when women play with fiction it is more dangerous than the clear understood man.
her face looking to or away is the clue of all the stories she hide or wish to have, all the music in which she was playing choral and all those when she was the lead, or almost so.In a woman's face you can't tell if she already had experienced pain or not you don't know if she smiles with you or at you.
and however evil they might become they still deserve this weapon if it ever called so.
:) Oscar Wilde was 28 when Virginia Woolf borned. maybe similarities of the living age is a credit for their homogenious thoughts, i only wonder how it is adapted until now!
i love the era between 1850 and 1900 i think it was the best 50 years in art and thought material, regardless the wars.

i see asymetry..

I see acceptance.
Acceptance of loss.
Acceptance after sorrow.
Acceptance after betrayel.
I see acceptance.
amazing :)

Raven:
here is someone who understand how strong this woman is.
but i'd rather say it is acceptance "during" the happenings not after them.
