Fareed Abdal is a member of our department's faculty. I attended one of his exhibitions before and it was amazing, he has innovative ways in calligraphy. He is also displaying his latest pieces next week, and this is the invitation:

i heard about the vila moda exhib yesterday..

fareed abdal exhib sounds very very interesting. i might even buy stuff if not expensive :P

and i used to go to dar el aathar a lot few years back.. they always start with Géza for the begingin of the season :)

i went to the first event in the scheduale today there were some cool stuff, i like the ones with the engraved qotations of Khalil Jubran, the doors, and a HUGE sofa in the far corner.

i bet you'll like it (you saw this image in the invitation!) so precise mashallah.. he made a jewellery collection earlier this year, i wish he will display them on monday :)

yeah hehe Geza is so funny he keeps you drawn to his funny stories :P
well i started attending dar ilathar 3 years ago and i still like it coz they have variety of stuff that makes me always interested, and you need an hour of relief in the heavy work all day :) there were a lot of concerts in the last two years and there are some good stuff ahead..

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SONG it is the only one that i can keep repeating it without getting bored :)

What surprises me is that the exhibition is up to 1 AM!!

have u seen anything by Bernard Khoury? this is the link for his projects in Kuwait.. one of them is the one just fensed next to al-raya complex.

I never saw this area from google earth it looks scary (just thinking of what it's going to look like 10 years ahead!)
the design looks cool, maybe they said it is aborted because they didn't continue with bernard khory until the construction stage, they only took the initial concept from him.
i attended his lecture once, he did some cool stuff and he was claiming to get more sophisticated designs (larger scales), but i think he does it better in small ones. he is clever :)
